Sacriston Academy is a school that has been at the heart of the community since 1910. Sacriston Academy was graded 'good' by OFSTED in October 2021, with three of the five inspection areas judged to be 'outstanding' - behaviour and attitudes, personal development and our early years provision. Outstanding for early years provision means that our youngest children are receiving the highest quality education possible in a fantastic learning environment. Very few schools receive this accolade and we are delighted that Sacriston has joined the elite few who are considered exemplary across England for early years.
We were also delighted to be shortlisted for the Times Educational Supplement (TES) final in 2022 as one of eight schools selected nationally for quality of our early years provision.
We ensure that every child is happy and well cared for and that they receive the very best education that prepares them for their next steps into secondary school and their futures beyond that.
The Trust's vision is that every child experiences excellence every day and staff and governors here work hard to live up to this expectation by embracing every opportunity to strengthen our school community and improve outcomes for pupils.
Our pupils are hardworking, well behaved and an absolute credit to us. They show resilience, kindness and a keenness to learn - they are at the heart of everything we do.
We never know if we might have the next astronaut, David Attenborough or even a future prime minister in our school so we support them in realising that ‘anything is possible!’
Children at Sacriston Academy love learning and opening their eyes to the possibilities around them. Curiosity, independence, perseverance and confidence can be seen here every day.
